Ok the A/T pro to my mothers yard again today, the house was built in the early 1830s and I know I had to miss something from last time I was there. I don't know how old the toy car is but I thought it was great as well as the little measuring cup (I'm guessing that is what it is) I also found a merc dime and a silver dime. The arrow is a Stemler Archery decal. Still have no idea what the chuck of metal is, I'm guessing its lead because of how heavy it is for the size.

NBT - mighty small cup, could also be part of a childs toy kitchen tea set? But, cute just the same. Cool old truck. From the grey color I would also guess lead for the gob of 'stuff'. Interesting archery decal and Nice coins.

So how do you suppose you missed these targets the first time? Were you in another part of the yard this time, or were you moving the coil slower and lower this time, and what kind of numbers were you getting this time versus last time? Mostly I'm asking to jog your memory for you as I know I miss things and find them a second time so Now I try to keep track of the information I'm getting from the machine so I can learn more to make it easier on myself in the future. Thanks for posting some good old finds!..............................63bkpkr

PS what machine were you using each time?

Good work there friend, is this the first time back out since that last time? I'm headed down to NC for a deer hunt in two weekends from now, I'll be down there for a week. I'm planning on a rental car and in between my morning and afternoon hunts I'll be hunting for metal!
You have to love those silver coins and how they look when you pull them from there dirt nap! Congrats on a successful hunt.

Wow, cool silvers and toy car

Yeah it is amazing how good silver looks after being in the ground that long. I was much more methodical this time, also maxed out sensitivity this time as well, despite all the trash metal around I turned it up but I did eliminate all the other signals below 70 ( I may have missed gold though) in addition to all that the ground if fairly wet still from the recent rain we got. The dime was a good 8 in down and the cup was about 10 in. The gob of metal was a strong silver signal at 2 in although it was 8 or so in down.
