Yesterday's finds... Couple unique finds.. The square piece with carving on it I have no idea. The hollow piece I don't know. All found at late 1700s homesite.

I've found some of those conical shapes recently and my guess is they are caps that went on legs of furniture.legs.webp

Fob seal without the seal and a apothecary weight are thefirst two:occasion14:

Great spot.

Work it.

That matrix seal frame is just killer. High on my want list! Go back and sift for the stone, please.

I also like that apothecary weight.

Congrats and good luck to you sir!

Nice finds! The hollow piece...a sword or dagger scabbard tip?

Cool cuff links! Those finds reach on back there in history! Very Nice!

Nice relics. Congrats

It's a cap to go over a bulls horn so you don't get yourself gutted.

man thats a good spot, good job

Good stuff! I'd hit that spot again.

Nice finds! The hollow piece...a sword or dagger scabbard tip?

Or bayonet.

Bayonet scabbard tips were commonly lost by CW soldiers. When you sit down with a bayonet on your belt the scabbard sticks into the ground. Eventually the scabbard tip pulls off and stays in the ground.

That's why they are typically bent when dug. Yours is in remarkable condition.

Unique handful of oldies. Congrats!!

The first picture appears to be a wax stamp sealer that has lost the stamp. Those were quite ornate on the grip and mine was quite fragile.Congrats on all those finds.

Nice finds!!! I was thinking walking stick/cane tip, but looking at the angle in the last pic I'm gonna go with DC....

EDIT: and Kray...

Some really nice relic finds, congrats! :occasion14:

"Toasted" nailed the first two items! :occasion14:

Great seal and weight! It would be great if you can find the stone!
