Nice pictures and I think the cloudy sky fits well in the shots. I thought about pulling off I80 in Iowa to get some shots of the bridges in Madison County on my last trip to my mother's, but I had more important things to deal with. Maybe next time I go back I'll take the time.

Cool! I like the inside shot showing the white guard rails.

Covered bridges are ALWAYS a good subject.

Very nice photos.

There are many covered bridges here in Indiana where I am at. Rush county has many. Also Pike county. Pike County covered bridge festival has really took off in popularity in the last 15 years. Its a county wide garage sale and antique extravaganza.

Kentucky has some amazing covered bridges. When I belonged to a Honda Goldwing club, we had a covered bridge ride every spring.

Many Thanks Everyone!...I've been driving past here for over 30 years, and just now took a notion to stop......There is another one down the road closer to town that was used in the movie, " Shenandoah. "

should be a great area to detect if you are allowed.

allot of times Church & school Picnics were held near covered bridges,
because they were easy quick access when weather went down hill.

also used by lovers and others for almost anything you can imagine and probably a few
ya can't. including highway robbery By Jumping from the rafters & Surprising the people in their wagons.
and for Hiding things Under or Near.

these days you can even expect to find Geocaches hidden on a few
