Crazy ornate button found yesterday, any info on it would be great!

Looking for some information on this beautiful button dug yesterday. Found about 8 inches down and about the size of a half dollar looks to be Victorian era. At first it looked like one big dandy button but as I cleaned it with a soft tooth brush the design started showing.:headbang: Definitely one of my best button finds yet.

You are correct - Victorian era flower motif openwork button. Turn of the 20th C, give or take a decade.

Probably very late 19th C, & being so large I think its decoration & not functional ie. Its a hat Button.
