Crazy Reverse Glass Painting - Signed

The ol thrift shop So after some research the style is "Verre Eglomise" with the gold leaf and the reverse painting. Especially the deep frame. The signed name is what I believe to be a french name - Andre. Yet its a painting showing slight expressionism of a traditional early 20th century Chinese women. Also on the backside the paper is very old and brittle, everything is telling me around 1940's. I would really appreciate any other opinions on who could of painted this because there's not another like it with all these styles, frustrating but very excited.

I think thirties or forties is a good guess - I have no factual knowledge to back up my hunch , it just feels about right - It is beautiful
and I would bet it's pretty collectible as well - I've never seen one like it - Great score !
