Creamation tag

OK so a while ago I posted about An ancient coin I found in a big lot of tokens I have for resale, I've been finding a lot of crazy stuff! I found a crematory tag :| it says Sangre De Cristo Crematory Canon City CO and a number in it, anyone know what to do with it? Somebody offered to buy it from me :---| I know legally it was supposed to stay with the ashes... Anyway to look up the number and see if it's old? Should I just throw it away? Thanks

When I found one, I contacted the crematory and told them what I had found. I then gave them my phone number and told them that if the family of the deceased wanted the tag, to give me a call and I'd be happy to mail it out to them. They said they would contact the family and give them my info. Never heard from them so it's still in my treasure chest. If you throw it back out in the water, someone else will just find it and have the same decision to make. I think it's pretty cool and an interesting conversation piece.
