Thanks Smokey. This one protects me from pens that are loose and up to no good. She puts them in a safe place - under the 'fridge.

My one Maine Coon cat catches the mice, a few a year that wander in, the black cat then steals them and puts them in the bathtub and playtime is here! I find out the next morning normally. Sometimes I hear the crash! bang! Thud! Squeak! but sometimes they are quiet about it. Happiness is not stepping on a part of a mouse on the carpet first thing in the am.

I had a cat that was an incredible hunter. Bats and flying squirrels were his favorite. Nothing worse than stepping on part of a bat in the middle of the night.
He made it twelve years as king of his own little forest. Alas, sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted.
