Got through working early yesterday. Well, I never get through but it was nice out, so I quit. Sue me! Hit the creek which was up a little. Had to take it easy so as not to get a wader full of cold water, but the regular rains recently had blown things out around logs and all. Spotted a few where it was shallow enough to see with the water being a little cloudy and all. Between the deep spots and the rippling, I doubt that I covered more than 30%, so I'm gonna get some chest waders and go back with the view bucket and scope out the deep areas. No embossing, but I'll take a pontil and an applied top seam-side any day. Beats nothing!

Looks like the beavers were busy too!

Oh yeah, nice ones. Hopefully there are more.

Friggin' awesome creek finds, sandchip!

I'm still waiting for my first pontil over here, so jealous. That flask is great too, nice colour. And they're both so clean, I guess we can thank Mother Nature's bottle tumbler for that. And call me crazy, but slicks are my favourite!

You'd love my little town, then. I swear that it must've had an ordinance prohibiting embossed bottles back in the 1800s!

Very nice finds, congrats!!!

Those are nice ones. Congrats

Very nice finds!:occasion14:

Sweet finds. Love the puff and the flask. Awesome. Jgas.

Very nice finds

The creek was good to ya!

Nice find in that pontil!

Well done on some great finds!!!!

Absolutely awesome finds. I can't wait until it's warmer out so I can walk the rivers. That's a nice puff. Being so thin it's amazing they survive in rivers. But what does the base look like on your seam side flask? Awesome finds.

Thanks. I'm dying to get back in the creeks too, but just don't have the time right now. Here's a picture of the the base: smooth, unembossed, post-bottom mold.

Very cool. That flask has a new England look to it. Seam sides are some of my favorite bottles.

That's a beautiful base. I love post-bottoms!

Oh, that has a name. learning something new every day. Holding one in my hand now. Bigger, but not as pretty.
