Creek hunt in Missouri 7-8-08 Went out again!

I came in earlier in the day because I thought it was going to rain me out for the day and I posted my finds. After checking the NWS Radar rainfall estimates and the radar, I decided to try a spot that looked like the rain might not have got to and I was right! The water was clear and no footprints (other than the dang cows).

I found a couple of heartbreakers, but did get a really nice flint axe.

Yes, the bigger bit side has quite a bit of polish. This was laying over in the clay all by itself--never made it to the gravel. This creek is notorious for that. If I didn't look over in the clay, I'd miss a bunch of points.

Good job. Although, I think the flint 'axe' looks more like a hoe. You should find some really nice stuff after all that rain you guys had.
