The pattern of the Southern items portrayed on this crock are slightly indented (debossed). They were then painted.
The lid does not match the pot. It was painted red and I could see that something was originally on the lid. So I soaked it and took off the paint.
My curiosity was then satisfied.
I would like to know the age of these items and anything else that someone might be able to add. These items belonged to the hubs Mom.
