crunchy ice

Out for a walk this morning with the dog, lots of ice patches on the neighborhood sidewalks.Most of the ice patches are solid ice but some of the patches have air pockets with thin layers of ice over them. When stepping on these air pockets, the ice makes a nice crunchy sound when breaking. I always go out of my way to step on crunchy ice, MMMMMMMM Crunchy Ice!!!

That's exactly why I moved to California!

After freezin' by @$$ off on the East Coast - had to work outdoors on some days -
I moved to the sunny central valley of California and vowed I would NEVER
complain about the heat! (A broken promise - but at least I don't have to
shovel the driveway)
