I found this crusader buckle a while back next to an old castle owned by friends

I'm still trying to ID it more precisely ...

I've tried to ID this stuff before to families & without the 'colours' it will be near impossible. Although I seem to remember those lines in each segment might depict a colour. Anyway good luck & great looking buckle. It does look 14th C to me.

Wow! What an incredible piece of history!

Awesome, regardless of whether it can be traced to a family, just an amazing find, if I would have found that, it would be one of my favorite finds ever. Congrats!

very historically cool

Congratulations to you , Crusaders relic is one of THE Best finds one could ever hope to dig ! Wonderful !

That is beautiful! Super nice find!

I voted banner. If 150 year old US military buckles get there all the time, a 14th century crusader's buckle should be there in a heartbeat in my opinion. Simply stunning find. That'll be hard to top!

Very nice recovery, first of it's kind I've seen on Tnet.

Killer buckle! Love it!!

Wow! Good luck on the I.D and welcome to T-net. Thanks for letting us see it.

Wow great find! I hope you can trace it.
