Crusaderdad continues the hunt on a field that has recently been flatten. Its another one of my favourites as we have only done it for a few years & had Iron Age (Celtic), Roman, a little Saxon (Rare for us), Medieval, & modern. One of the few fields that has it all. I am excited about trying this again & hope to get out tomorrow.

He found:
WWII era Royal Artillery Capbadge
Possible Celtic Bronze coin, maybe roman. If Celtic only our 3nd this year.
13th century buckle

Star find:
Late 18th century tombac button with running Hare design. Our first tombac with an animal design. ;D ;D Loop intact

Way cool relics. I look forward to every post from you and son. I spent quite a bit of time at RAF Fairford in the Cottswolds (spelling??) and traveled to all the famous sites (henges) and churches/castles. Wish I would have took the detector back then. HH and keep the post coming. WT

Just incase your a bit confused, I'm the only one that posts on here but I do show my Dads finds on the few times that he goes alone.

Excellent!! Keep em coming!
