Found on the side of a road, I found 3 of them not sure what they are. Would appreciate any thoughts.

Wow, knowing that sparks my interest even more. The tone for them wasn't an annoying tone, that is why I dug up three; I thought it was going to be a coin. After three of them, I moved to the other side of the road; if I found out they had some historical value I could always go back and dig up a few more.hunterV3 said:It may be something farm related. I was installing solar panels in an old farm field and there were literally thousands of pieces just like that laying all over. I was thinking something related to packaging/crating produce. I wish i had saved one but they were about4-6 inches long and looked just like what you have.
I am on a ranch with over 900 Acres, most of it is woods and trails. There were a few homesteads here in the 1800's, a gin, a saw mill, and I am not sure what else. I found these pieces away from any building, but I don't know what was there in the past.hunterV3 said:When I saw them the first thing I thought also was some kind of welding bead. Were you near a farm?
