Click and scroll to Connecticut listing. I have obtained permission from property owner with land within 50 yards of the monument that marks where Gen. Wooster was shot and killed in the Battle of Ridgefield. If anyone from the area wants to help out, let me know. It's a pretty big piece of land. (I am traveling until May.)

Time permitting, I'd be happy to help. I'm from W. Mass. I'm always eager to meet other like-minded people. I work in Newington, Ct. Let me know.

Just want to comment on the area.
I'm originally from Danbury Connecticut. As a kid, my friends and I would find War Stuff all over, next to streams, on mountain tops, right off park trails in Danbury and "Rich-Field"(we called cause of the wealthy residents). Barnum and Baily Circus started in Bethel and performed in Danbury at the 120 year old Danbury Fair Grounds which is now the Danbury Fair Mall, the area around it still has old coins in the ground.
I need to go back for a little while, there is a lot of stuff in the ground out there. And a LOT of old properties, many of the basements in these homes are from the 1800's.
My family and friends still live all around the area there, if I can get some specific information for you let me know.
Wow, I now remember some extremely old foundations in the woods that nobody knew about but me and my friends.
