Finally bought a Plano case for my detector and got everything I think I could possibly need securely stored! Can charge battery and remote without removing from case! Hopefully I'm uploading the photo properly! Thanks for looking!

I have just started to think about making my own case, so I am quite interested in the details of this one.

Where did you get the case?

Did the foam come with it?

How long is it?

What does it weigh?

See I told you I was interested. LOL......

It's a Plano Rectangular bow case. $70 at Academy Sports. Foam came with. 41" long inside, just long enough for CTX with stock coil. Not sure about weight. Maybe 3 lbs. I used a roll of Velcro to secure all the stuff. Also used some heavy duty Velcro with adhesive backing to secure some items. That stuff sometimes fails when it's left in the heat for a while.

Very cool, thanks.

I see a new project on the horizon!

There are tons of very nice carrying cases for the 3030 here on the forums, I made myself one out of a plano bowguard case.

Perfect size, now all you have to do is wrap that in brown paper, you can PM me for my shipping address.

Oddjob,

Great to see you back...missed your interesting posts!
