I hunted a couple of extremely iron and trash infested sites today using the CTX and the 6" coil. I ran mostly an open screen with combined tones and little to no disc. I was able to get a tiny silver ring, 5 wheats and what I thought was a Levi Strauss token from one site and the 1893 V-nickle from the other. Nothing great, but it was very satisfying to find something among all the crap. The Levi Strauss thing is about the same size as a penny, but, I don't see how it was attached to any clothing. Anyway, silver of any type, plus an old nickle made the hunt well worth it.

looks like it did an awesome job for you, in that regards, more special than you realize. a lot of people I know would walk away from sites like that, you proved that it is worth it (with the right equipment and ability).
