CTX Charging Error

[USMC Reaper]

I get a red flashing light on the battery charger while try to charge the Li ion CTX3030 battery. Any fix to this? I am in the middle of a move, presently in Tuscaloosa Al, and all my CTX stuff is in storage in Dawsonville GA. My CTX is about 14 months old.

I had to send one back. It was brand new.

I would be calling Minelab. Have the machine and battery info handy. Have heard that they have replaced some but others were not covered under warranty.

Some people have replaced the batteries themselves if that is what is bad. There is also a PC board in the pack that could be bad (not so easy to fix).

Just got back from a road trip 15 minutes ago. I'll be hitting mine lab website in a few. I'll keep you informed.

Charging cradle is covered by Minelab's 3 year detector warranty, batteries have a 6 month warranty.

I've had a battery,charger AND WM10 croak on me within a period of 5 months. All were replaced immediately free of charge and very promptly. None of those issues put me out of commission,as there's a workaround to all of that. Minelab of the Americas in Chicago has been fantastic,I dealt with Jamie both times. A sweetheart to say the least,and that's working in a position that must be quite trying at times....
