Hey everyone,
Got out today to hit some sidewalk strips. An afternoon commitment got cancelled so that meant more detecting time for me!
I was doing some sidewalk strips outside a neighbor's house when another neighbor saw me and said "Did you leave a postcard at my place about metal detecting?". I said "Ya, that was me." He said I should go for it, score!
So I'm hitting the strips and I see this reeded, silver edge and I'm thinking "Oh yeah, silver quarter."

Nope, just a dang washer! Worst I've been fooled in a while.

I'm about 4 hours in and getting close to calling it a day when I get another high tone. I was basically in robot mode so I was just digging everything and lo and behold Mr. Roosevelt made an appearance:

Here are my keepers on the day:

-1 Silver Rosie (52S)
-7 Wheats (19, 20, 24, 27S, 41, 47S, 55S)
-1 KGVI Canadian Penny (43)
-2 Tax Tokens
-50 euro cent coin
-Red Ryder Lucky Coin (circa 1943)
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
