Curious bottle found east of Richmond

Hey t'netters and general bottle brothers,

Found these at an old house site on the south side of the James River. I've found a little info on the Dr Kilmer's Swamp Root Kidney Liver Bladder Cure (found two of them), but the curious one with the extra strange top is a real mystery (it's about 8.5 " tall) ... anyone come across this or have some more info? Dates for both would be appreciated too. Unfortunately, the curious bottle does have a couple cracks, but its more than good enough for my collection! Thanks for looking!

Unembossed bottle looks like ammonia or laundry blueing bottle. Both bottles are probably 1890-1910c (the cure is 1906 or older)

the un embossed bottle is a nerve& bone liniment 1880s.
