CW era coin and marble

Yesterday evening I got out for an hour or so to a CW camp where I've recently found some eagle buttons. My first hit was an 1863 IH penny. A short while later I see a marble poking through the dirt. After that , the next hour only yielded a few pieces of buckshot and can slaw.

well that coin along with those buttons dates that sites useage well-- there should be more - union camp it seems with eagle button and US mid war IH coin -- remember this --what makes for a good camping spot at one time (the union camp site time)-- still made for a good spot both before then and after then . --for both union and /or confederate forces during the war --and civilan groups before , during and post war --- often a "good spot" is just that .
