Went back to the club today hoping to find a few civil war bullets and maybe a little silver. I started in the front field looking for the bullets and I did score 2 beat up round pistol balls and a post CW .30 cal.

Then I went down to the picnic area to look for some coins and I managed to find 23 coins with a face value of $2.81, a Virginia Seed Service Barlow knife that will be good after a little clean up, a nice G accordion reed, and a couple of big sinkers.

In the coin count was a Kennedy half dollar and 3 wheats, 1944, 1958D, 1955D. Also a 2015 nickel with a Masonic counter stamp and the number 196. I have only found a couple of counter stamped coins and both were modern, this nickel and a Washington quarter with 333 stamped on it 3 times. It turns out that the Masonic lodge number 196 is located in Kempsville Virginia, a long way from mountain Maryland. Of course there were some tabs, bottle caps, copper wire, can slaw, a few nails and other junk as usual.

I had a good time and found some interesting things. Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.

That nickel is very cool! I've never seen such a thing before. Of course the CW relics are also awesome. Great job!

Neat finds all, I have found some coins counter stamped with Masonic emblem. The 196 on it is probably the lodge number.
