✅ SOLVED CW site find.

Found this today at the site where I found a 6lb Cannonball last weekend. It was found in the breast works of a Confederate defensive position. I have no idea what it is. It is iron and was 12" deep. Thanks for any help.

Yes, I'd say a coffee grinder was an essential piece of camp equipment and it would have been something used on a daily basis during the war.

Hey - that's pretty cool, and I've never heard of a piece of a coffee grinder found in a CW site, but it makes perfect sense.
