curious - how many would rather have the gold button be able to quickly change you from auto tune to ID mode
and back? - I would
I hunt in all metal 99% of the time and depending on area will click to zero - check and click back

How many actually use the gold button to pin point ?
I do not - wearing a mask - most times I can see bottom and can pin point faster without it
I also use a large scoop which helps too

I rarely use the P Point button myself , It is faulty on my Cz ( too cheap/reluctant to send it in for the refurb ...Im using the older Cz 20 though ..what a workhorse..I need to sharpen my search skills with the All Metal searching mode I know im missing very deep un detectable signals in sanded in areas..Any pointers appreciated. Nice Finds Casper!

I agree 100% Casper. I hunt in Autotune and have always said that if the pinpoint button would change to discrimination mode it would be perfect.

I talk now and then with powers that be at Fisher about the button thing - if there were more support for it - maybe a future model might get that feature
would not think it would hard to do for them

Maybe.

But I'd really prefer a remote electronic "click" button on the grip itself.

I don't really like the touch sensitive button all that much.. I find I have to press it 2 or three times since it's not a "click" button.

The only time I ever used the PP button was when I was getting EMI.....the PP mode often eliminating most of the EMI issue. Good to know for those times when EMI is disrupting your hunt.

I use my pin point...why don't they make the disc knob with a tab sticking out...you could flip it back and forth with your thumb...looks like the older CZ20 had those knobs....might contact Fisher to see if I can get an old knob.

If Fisher could have that function available, I would surely get one. I think the design of the CZ21 is much more rugged than the other brand. And best of all I think it is made in the U.S.A>

You helped introduce me to Felix over a year ago and I mentioned it to him during one of our conversations. Like you say, if it gets brought up by CZ21 users more, maybe they will get serious about it. And I agree, surely it couldn't be a difficult task.

The CZ-21, like all Fisher detectors is made in El Paso Texas by First Texas Products. They also make every Teknetics and Bounty Hunter detector there. The only exception is the Bounty Hunter jr. - about half of the total production of this model are made in China - the rest in El Paso. The made in China units say so on the box - the rest are clearly identified as made in the USA.

I could make you a lever arm which slides over the disc knob.

I have an 8in coil so I hardly ever use the pp button. It would definitely be more useful to have the disc on the button so the knob wouldn't get worn out going from all metal to disc 1.

I am very very rough on my machines - I'm lucky they stand up to the punishment I give them - I been cracking handles and cracking rods
I don't think that trigger thing would last long with me - but thanks

I'm surprised with the amount of times I flick back and forth on a four hour hunt that ive never worn one out or had a knob problem
only knob prob ive ever had was lost my balance in water and smacked the volume knob with my scoop handle and snapped it off
Felix replaced for free even after warranty was long gone
ive fallen (and I do mean fallen) on the box at least 3 times with only minor scratches on the box - try that with other machines
