"D" is for Dummy.

As in, "You Dummy, you lost your gold ring!"

An Easter Sunday hunt at a school in a nearby town produced my first gold ring find. It is marked 14K, Canada and RRUS. The RR's are superimposed over one another. The pile of coins is from a recent pocket spill I found under a magnolia tree in a small grassy area in the town. The rest of the coins are from the school. I found one wheat penny, 1944, the year I was born. The rest is all clad. There must be some silver there someplace, unless someone with one of those sliver suckers has been by in the past.

If anyone can tell me about the flat button, please do. I don't know if it is an early button or something lost from some kids band uniform in the not too distant past.

Re: "D" is for Dummy.

Nice 14k Gold ring! I wonder why the D was engraved on it. Maybe D for Drift King? lol

Button looks like and oldie to me. I know some date these as early as 1820, but I think it's more likely 1850-1870. Either way, a nice button to compliment the gold ring. Well done.
