Dandy button?

just got back in from another small rural field in New Hampshire. I think this is a dandy button, I don’t see where a shank hook would of been though. It does have a rim also. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

looks more like brass /copper .

I agree with the others, I dont think its a button with the shank not being there. Looks like a pocket watch back.
