DAT and reel to reel tapes

May have heard it here before. Inherited a bunch of new in box and high quality used reel to reel and DAT tapes from my Uncle’s estate last year. Crazy how much they were going for. Apparently they aren’t making them anymore.

Yes, they can be worth a great deal. Condition means quite a bit as well as mastering speed and actual content. Like vinyl, jazz and rock sell the best.

Hope your Uncle's Estate also gave you a reel-to-reel player!

He used the reel to reel to make engineering notes. I sold it with all of his electronic test gear.

I had one when I was a teen. I used it to record off my stereo, couldn't do that with an 8-track player
