Nice finds Crusader, the silver is nice! Thought I found my first Roman coin yesterday, turned out to be an old button. Today was also very windy here with a light rain, 2.5 hours got me about $0.48 American cents, LOL, but it is always fun. HH, Mike

No a pan weight, probably late Victorian.

Looks like that big grass field is prooving to be a bit of a bitch :( there must be something good there ::)

is the pan weight the coin looking thing with the hole in the center ?

No its the round thing to the right of it with a raised rim. The item with the hole is a late Georgian furniture decor (the hole was for the drawer handle).

Years ago when we gain permission for this field I found a gold half soveriegn on one of the first outings. Since then we worked out there was very little here, until we found the Bronze Age Axe & a Celtic Silver Unit. So anything could turn up. But its another field that when finished will not be covered again. :)
