If you wanted to return the class ring - sometimes initials or name not needed - yes they make it a lot easier
but there are ways of still finding owner - if school is small one or small class for that year - is it a girls ring or boys ?
I had one where its class was only like 40 students - ring was a girls size and there were 21 girls in the class - contacted the school and they asked around
and notified me that a girl did lose one and they told me the beach and it was correct - I asked what color stone for further iD
and they said orange which was correct
you can sometimes find the class alumni for class of 62 on line and contact them to ask living graduates if any of them lost a ring
you might get some help - if you don't want to return - then enjoy the gold
