OK, so Robin got me up even earlier this morning and dragged me back out in the woods. We started this site report here http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/586743-new-site-finds.html
We had to slow down today due to nails and such as we approached the cellar hole. We were digging a lot of signals as I learn the Deus with different coils and settings, even what I was pretty sure was large old steel or iron if it could be covering or masking a good target. Yesterday one of the buttons came out of a hole with 7 nails. Today Robin dug a nail, went back in for a lead ball, and back for a button before clearing the hole. We hauled out 40-50 lbs of iron; some rusty junk, 4 more axe heads (2 yesterday), 5 more buttons, and an 1833 half cent. Also some unknown items. One photo has 4 items on a paper towel; one must be a buckle piece, the big one may be a sythe handle, but what about the others? What kind of nail/fasteners is that? Any ideas on the copper item?
