Day 5 digging family history. I took my Tesoro Cibola with 5 inch coil and tackled the foundation and iron field today. I was able to get some smaller targets out finally but not the older stuff. The iron in the last pick is the type of stuff I'm dealing with. This is just the iron I could carry out.

Nice coins and I like the badge. Like Gunnrunner said, it's got to be neat detecting where your ancestors lived. I've tried detecting at my great grandfathers home place, but there are so many of the old pull tabs in the yard it makes it difficult. He was quite the beer drinker.
