Find of a lifetime. I wish I hadn't waited till today to clean and post day 8 finds. I literally just discovered what I found. Check out the button. CSN! Confederate States Navy button found In a horse pasture in the middle of Tennessee. I used to live on the road that Gen. Hood took during his retreat from the second battle of Franklin (November 30, 1864). That said I've found my fair share of Civil War artifacts but never expected this. I thought the old watch parts were going to be my find of the day.

Also found an old bronze lamp base(?), a huge chunk lead, 4 clad memorials, pottery pieces, and a whatchamacallit. But who cares 😂🤣😂

Seriously if anyone has any advice on cleaning or info in general please let me know.

Congrats on the finds !
A homemade Electrolysis Bath will work well for cleaning finds like yours.
Very easy to build and only cost a few dollars - check out YouTube video's on how to build and use one.

Congrats on the really nice CSN button.
For cleaning a find up it all depends on what it is actually.
