took my snuba system to one of my old spots - I thought the water was gonna be cold and I suited up to dive in cold water
I was wrong - water was not that cold - I had to much suit and not enough weight - I got out at low tide to 6-7 feet - out past where most hunters can reach
that was good - but I could not stay on the bottom when I got a hit - which was bad ... I started getting hits - got at least 6 targets
that sounded good - that's good. Every time I tried to fan or dig - I'd inhale and start to float off target - which was bad.
I never recovered a target = bad. So I came back in. I either had to get more weight - which was 200 yrds away or dress down to a
less buoyant suit - which was 200 yrds away (there and back) - decided to just use snorkel and mask. Not much left in the shallows
but I hit a spot loaded with bottle caps that others must have gone through with a discriminator - I hunt in all metal. After
clearing out the caps I went through slow and got a faint reading ended up pulling up the 14k white gold ring. So my hunt ended well.

It was worth it...a lot of trash targets though...but it only takes one and you got it, a very nice gold ring! Congratulations!

I love GOOOOOOOLD! (and pop tops)

Great find! Good job clearing out the trash. Those other guys don't seem to realize that removing trash prevents them from finding it repeatedly.

They're not throwing them back - they just crank their discrim. and pass them up

Well done on the great looking band, yes indeed it ended well for you.

Wow!...nerves of steel in that land mine field...your patience and skill shows with the nice ring. Congrats!!

Great looking ring Casper. I would have went back and forth for that one.

Nice Ring my friend! :)

Nice ring. WHITE gold however, drives me nuts. I prefer the yeller kind.

when I was younger - all the guys wanted to find white gold :dontknow:
now a days - I would also find the yellow - I hunt older spots in salt water - yes now and then I will get a discolored 10k
but for the most part if its yellow - you know you got gold - brass turns green and gold plate gets eaten by salt
- too much other stuff is silver in color - yes silver turns black in the salt - but your got silvery titanium, tungsten and other junk metals
yes there is platinum but ive gotten so many "silvery colored" stuff that I was excited about and then disappointed
Rather see that nice yellow :icon_thumleft:

Well done Casper,, what's the "After Drowning" price on those phones?
Congratulations on the Gold.

Sweet! Gold and diamonds congrats!
And a good investment in your recycle metals!

I don't know - I don't hit a lot of newer spots - so don't get a lot of phones - probably got a dozen
just toss them in a shoe box in my man cave for now

Dig it all!! Gold is gold my friends. If people are too lazy to pass by potential "gold" targets I will gladly scoop up a white gold ring...
For instance...
