Roadside attractions fairly close to home today:
World’s tallest rhubarb statue (10 ft.) in Aledo, Illinois
and grave memorial to Norma Jean the elephant, killed by lightning in Oquakwa, Illinois.
I left a whittled “hippy” at each. Beautiful day to see the USA.

A monument to rhubarb. I didn't even know such a thing existed. Today, I have learned....

(Though oddly enough, I just planted some rhubarb as ornamentals in the front a couple of weeks ago.)
