I'm wanting to look at a Garrett and I would like any suggestions on places to buy a detector, locally if possible in the Atlanta, GA area. I've seen bad mentions of KellyCo and I'm a strong believer in word of mouth so I'm not going there and really don't feel comfortable ordering from other countries for sure.

Thanks

Keith Cochran (kcochran81@hotmail.com) is a good guy to deal with in the north Georgia area. He's a Tesoro and Garrett dealer.

Mr. Cochran says he has a Tesoro Compadre in my price range. What do you guys think?

I have had minor dealings with the Tesoro people and found them to be most helpful, giving and courteous. Definitely folks worth talking to. Oh and the minor dealing, a neighbour of mine(an old guy) bought a Mayan at a flea market for $35. Tesoro not only had instructions for this ancient machine, they wouldn't charge for it and tossed into the package some nice brocheurs. Fred

Silver 007,

The Compadre may look to simple to actually be any good, but it will hold it's own. There is allot of machine packed into the little pachage. It also has a lifetime warranty so you don'ever have to worry about repairs. Good luck and Happy Hunting
