Common sense and a sense of humor are essentially the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense moving at a superior speed, looking over its shoulder and laughing at common sense trying to catch up, but never will.

Another thing that works when all else fails is to use the BBB formula.

This was taught to me by an extremely bright MBA I used to work with.....but considering we used to call them Management By Accident....that and extremely bright in the same sentence is a bit of an oxymoron don't you think....but I regress.....maybe this guy was an exception.

In any event if you ask me nicely I'm prepared to share this top secret debating tactic with you.....
