Decorative copper pipe? Thanks Deftone! (& Tnmountain & Matt)

I have no idea what this could be, any ideas, anyone? The length is about 3" and if straightened out, the diameter would be about 3/4". There are two blue enameled stars on either side and inline with a crescent moon with a start inside. I'm stumped. (I hope I haven't posted this before....a search did not find anything. I think I was about to post when the site cratered)

I'm inclined to agree with you, creskol. The Islamic Crescent and Star first came to mind, but, the stars by themselves still throw me. Maybe it was part of a Hookah?? ;D

Kinda looks like a lighter case. I'll see what I can find. ;D

Re: Decorative copper pipe?

I went out into the garage and took another look at it to refresh my memory. It may not be copper, it is very lightweight, however, that may be due to the very, very thin wall. It was almost surely round and straight before the trauma of a lawnmower or whatever. Also, it had to be on something that only the one side would show as the only decorations are on this one side.

I agree an old bic lighter case with the finish worn off. The cuts at the top were so you could strike the little wheel. Probably was oval in shape before the mower and maybe being stepped on. See if the length matches a Bic Lighter.

The original length would be difficult to determine since both ends appear to have been severed or broken off.

Re: Decorative copper pipe?

Deftone (and Tnmountains, Matt).......I am going to call this one solved and believe it is the remnant of a Bic lighter cover. What convinced me was the uniform notch on one end that can be seen in the first and third pics. This point was noted in another forum along with a similar cover. I thank all who took the time to look and respond!
