Like yesterday it was dark and dank. Like yesterday I dug quota. Like yesterday I unearthed one Yank quarter (this one Arkansas from the state set). Like yesterday a fun zone token. Like the day before a few school yards. Like the day before a duration of a little over three hours!

Sort of felt like Bill Murray in "Groundhog day" or Tom Cruise in "Edge of Tomorrow." Only three things differed......the amount of quota, B.C. Ferry " pin instead of the pendent and the soreness of this decrepit old Bluenoser!

Nice hunt, congratulations on the finds

Congrats and great work Leslie,

Groundhog day is always special to me. In 1972 I took my beautiful girlfriend on a daytrip to the Gettysburg battlefield. It was early spring and we walked and laughed between the "Wheat Field", "Devils Den" and "Little Round Top". All places relevant to my family's history. As we walked through the "Wheatfield" I stumbled on a ground hog hole in a slight depression. Sitting on top of his "tailings" was a violently torn piece of charcoal foundered iron. It was a piece of flat iron about 2.5" by 7 or 8" there was a .5 inch flange turned on one side that had several 1" hand wrought nails sticking through the flange with shards of oak from the underlying surface that the plate was torn from. Being true conservationists my beautiful girlfriend and I assumed that the ground hog must have discarded it by mistake, so we just kicked it back down the hole and walked on.

For sale, Five acres of prime wetland discarded by the U.S. Dept of Highways! Included is a Bridge Site Sure to be of value in the future!

Or not!
