Obviously trashed. Just curious if any RR people recognize the era (years) of this logo style? Solid 82 on the ATG. Had me excited for a moment. Was thinking coin all the way.

Not sure of the age but congrats on the find. I found a similar one several years ago. I think it was a New York Central Railroad one if I recall correctly.
 
Thanks. Connected NYC with Montreal (at least in my neck of the woods). I'm somewhere well north of the middle.

Coal shipping sounds like it from what I can gather. Possibly Miller Lock Co. Has a 29 stamped on the inside.
