Delta 4000 notch question.

I traded my Technitics Euro Pro I bought for coin club hunts. The pinpoint dropped out with a loud target, even after they supposedly fixed it, for a Delta 4000. Its light and has everything I need. A question. When turned on, I set it with discrimination up to coins and notch in nickles. however when turned off and back on, the notch drops out and I have to reset it. Is this normal? or should it come back with nickles notched in.

Seems to me that it's normal, My F4, F2, and a few other machines did not have a memory to keep your settings.

I am "pretty sure" only the Omega saves settings...the Alpha/Delta/Gamma all reset each power cycle.
