Cool tag! What is the thing under the coins? It looks pretty cool too!
I'm not sure Lenrac. It for together snugly. Doesn't seem like it would open anything. It says AM Stevenson mfr Joliet I'll Agents wanted. Love the interesting stuff!!

This is an early adder made by A. M. Stephenson Manufacturing Co. of Joliet, Illinois. This is a plated brass version from the turn of the century. This is the 2-wheel version capable of doing sums up to 199. It measures about 3.5” x 2”.

Thanks!! I was thinking that is what this would have had to have been. I appreciate the research. It's in pretty good shape. I think with a little oil I'll get it going!

Railroad tags are pretty neat to find.
Thanks mindcrime, I agree!! I found one when I first started detecting, sold it to help pay for the detector. It was a "duplicate" This one is a keeper. Can't find any similar yet.
 

Great hunt today,, went to a new spot, glad I did. I found a similar tag with "duplicate" on it about 20 years ago. Wish I still had it. I sold some keepers early on to keep the addiction going! Nice to find this one!! The Indian sure cleaned up well!!
