Detecting around Highway round abouts.

Has anyone ever tried detecting around a newer highway round about where there used to be houses at but no longer there. Not sure who you have to contact for permission there. Also wondering if all the soils been moved from the houses to install the round about. Gonna try it and see what comes of it.
Also anyone have luck with old drive in theater lots?

most of those round abouts have been so heavily changed I would say they are not worth it, as the ground was often filled to bring road up to highway level, or removed to bring down to highway level. then they move even more dirt to account for drainage. the drive ins though, for sure a place to find some silver coinage. Also look for a stand of trees or creek near by where kids bored by the movie the adults were watching may have gone to in order to "play" out of the eyes of the adults.

There were 4 houses there in 1950 before it went in. Its a long shot but im gonna try around the outside edges of the property.
