detecting in gulf shores

just wondering if anyone has ever detected the beach at gulf shores, alabama...going there in march to detect for a couple of days....didnt know if it was legal to detect there or do they have laws against detecting the beach....any info would be greatly appreciated....takin' my dfx ....never detected a beach before...thanks and happy huntin'
