? ? ?Went fishing off the levee of a nearby island, thats inhabited by no more than 50 people, today. And after a couple of hours of feeding fish but not catching fish. I grabbed my detector out of my car and went to the back side of the levee at the bottom, where there's 2 concrete foundations of some long gone buildings. It's over grown with nearly waist high weeds, but there's pockets of bare ground here and there, that i was able to detect. After finding one memorial penny and a couple of pounds of melted metal. I started to wonder if perhaps there might have been a fire there, just maybe. I then came to a spot,? where if i didn't know better, i would say that some one had been detecting and dug a small hole and covered it back up. No way, the few that lived there lived on the otherside of the island, and wouldn't come here, as? deserted as it is.
But then another hole and? then another. Yep they had.
? While musing about it on the drive home. About how 20 yrs ago this wouldn't have been. And how far detecting has come. How it is more accepted and how everybody knows what a detector is. Where as back when, many didn't.
? ? ? And thinking with a bit of a smile on my face.
? ?THOSE #@!$%#@!S!? HOW DARE THEY DETECT WHERE I WAS GOING TO!
? ? OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T REALIZE WHO I AM!!
