Detector partner in Sweden ?

Hello. As a new member i am looking for detecting friends that occationally would like to go on hunting trips with me in the south of Sweden or nearby.
I have been detecting for about 10 years now, but i am still a rookie. i use a minelab X-terra 705, a garrett pro pointer and a raven 25 shovel.

Hey there!
I have just bought me an XP Deus, but i haven´t had much time to use it yet. I haven´t practised my detecting hobby since the new law came for over 20 years ago. Nonetheless, i have now decided to start with this hobby again. Biggest problem is to get all these permissions from landowners, and how long will it take before i can get permission from county Administrative Board (Länsstyrelsen)? How easy or how much difficulty have you had with this? I haven´t started yet i can say...

Hej Treasure-Guy. Vet inte om du talar svenska men jag gör ett försök. Jag har precis sökt mina nya tillstånd för denna säsongen och om det går som det brukar så får jag besked inom några dagar, har aldrig haft några större problem men har oftast sökt för stränder samt enstaka inlands platser. Denna gången har jag sökt för några intressanta gamla tomter hos släktingar också. Var någonstans bor du ? I have been living in Malmo, Sweden for two years, and am thinking of applying for a permit to metal detect. I am from the United States, and have been metal detecting for thirty-two years. I use a trusty old Minelab Sovereign detector. Have any of you guys in Skane gotten a permit yet?

Hello Antiquente! Me and my friend have recently gotten a permit in Skåne, in the north west parts. We have only got permits to go on the beaches though But if you want to go on a hunt someday when its not minus degrees contact me here or on my email

Thanks for the reply! I cant wait to get a permit. Whats the first step to getting the permit? Does it cost a lot?

Bumping it again so people can find it. I have found another guy in Malmö who wants to metaldetect. Maybe if I find more we all could do a meeting and plan something out together?

There's a Swedish md-association with around 100 active detectorist at the moment, growing at a steady pace. We have regular meetups, on the last occation we unearthed a silver treassure from the 1500's.

It's not always easy to practice this hobby in Sweden, but togeather we are in a stronger position to handle the opposition.

Hi. My name is Mike. I was raised in sweden and my father lives in malmo. Is there any gold to prospect there? I have not tried metal detecting but I am very good at prospecting for gold. I would love to go back and get some svenskt guld. Or have my dad go find it and send me pictures at least.
