"nuance" or "nuisance", and who designates?Because they are designated a nuance target.
That's the trouble with signals and notching things. You never know if it's "bs or not" until you dig it. I'd rather dig a zincoln than miss a masked IHP or something. And how those Zincoln penny IDing signals can be dealt with to place odds of ID given is bs or not.
Ya your other Sharpshooter was an epic failure.Maybe you should start your own thread.
Why are you here anyways?
You are reading and watching huh? Hmm
What are you afraid of ? Someone may learn something? Hmm
Dig real dirt. Hmm
Yeah I’ve dug some of that.
Be hard to see in the dirt though exactly what I am showing. Huh.
Because I'm old and tired of bending over ha ha ha 🤣Why would a person notch out them in the first place.![]()
Hey there @Bucket Lister
How's your rock view doing?
I don't physically notch them, but will generally mentally ignore them, especially shallow ones, if I'm in an area that is more likely to have those than IHPs. Indian Head cents are always nice to dig, but not all that big a deal to me anymore. Why would a person notch out them in the first place.![]()
What # do they come up as?I don't physically notch them, but will generally mentally ignore them, especially shallow ones, if I'm in an area that is more likely to have those than IHPs. Indian Head cents are always nice to dig, but not all that big a deal to me anymore.
~85, same as non-fatty IHPsWhat # do they come up as?
Don't dig at the cellar hole sites.
Thanks for that info.~85, same as non-fatty IHPs
I will say that as a person who hunts playgrounds I have dug thousands of stinkin lincolns, and depending on the location, might skip signals that I believe are the Zinc pennies... in a playground just because I'm tired of digging them, but because they corrode the way they do, I've had them read from a nickel all the way to a modern penny and you can't really tell what it is unless you dig them... True story... Years ago I was hunting with my partner and he got a zinc penny signal in the middle of a baseball field, he tried to get it with a screwdriver (my methode of picking targets) but could not hit it... I think it was like a 65 on the DFX. He finally gave up and walked away... but I said .. I'm going to dig it because I'm not getting many signals.... and I went of to dig "just because" ...I don't physically notch them, but will generally mentally ignore them, especially shallow ones, if I'm in an area that is more likely to have those than IHPs. Indian Head cents are always nice to dig, but not all that big a deal to me anymore.
