Went on a solo hunt this morning in a neighboring town to a fairly large park that has a lot of history. It began as a CCC camp and during ww2 served as a training camp. almost everyone ive told about this park has found silver there, except me. Not anymore, finally broke the curse and found a nice 41 merc not 10 minutes into my walk. left there and rode by one of my permission sites and they have graded the whole backyard. a lot of nice finds have come from this site in the past but it had gone silent until today. I found a nice green 1890 indian. next was a small green coin about the size of a dime. it turned out to be a 1901 Netherlands 1 cent coin made of Bronze. first bronze coin for me. last was a 1944 10 Reichspfennig coin from Germany made of zinc. Hope all have had a great weekend. Thanks for looking IMG_20160704_144627116_HDR.webpIMG_20160704_125336947_HDR.webpIMG_20160704_085805148_HDR.webp Also found some pottery shards and the smallest copper buckle ive even found.

Great little hunt. Congrats!

Congrats good little haul!

Nice finds. Indian heads and early wheats are bronze by the way

Nice digs man! I really like that 1901 bronze mamajama, and wait, hold the phones on that buckle!! I think that buckle is really old. Can you give us a front and back?

Great digs

Great digs

The Buckle is the same on both sides. The tang swivels around to the other side too.

P@tch good digs. Love those pottery pieces. Looks like you're on a great spot.

Didn't find any pottery there until they graded it. Looks like I don't have much time left there before it's paved over.

Love the deep green color on that IH and that Netherlands one cent coin. Thats an interesting one for sure. Congrats!

Some of those blue glazed pottery pieces have age. I'll venture a guess that the d-buckle is 1840's ish...Same thing on a couple of them shards. Congrats on the old stuff!

Congrats on the nice old coins Patch, were they dug in the CCC area or not? I still can't believe I dug a Pepsi bottle from the 1940s at that site. Looks like Blade Runner has some competition now.

Great finds. Hope you have opportunity for more before it's too late.

Thanks Scrappy

The merc came from the CCC camp everything else is from a different site in town

Well done my man. You got all sorts of good coins!

I do love Mercury's
Is it possible that the buckle is from a watch band?
Congrats on some nice finds.
