Interesting article, Jeff! I knew there had been a shoot out in the Dexter area related to the Barrow gang, but never knew exactly where.


Go get those bullets, IowaHunter!!!!

Any Shells, Spent or live found in those woods
most likely were from them.

HOW COOL would it be to have a live or Spent shell
that may have been in Clyde's Hands.

Also check at a Distance for the Spent bullets they Fired at the Law.

i'm getting ready to drive out to the old amusement park and the barrow gangs hideout spot on top of the hill overlooking the park...with the help of that picture and the map up above i should be able to know exactly where the most amount of foot traffic was and the spot where it'd be most lucrative...thanks for all the info guys..i'll post my good finds later today

Alva Humphrey was my great grandmas cousin. We have lived in this area my whole life and alva was a town marshal and got word the barrow gang was on there way and he and another officer ran north out of town in hopes of intercepting the gang. Well unfortunately he was caught in a firefight and lost against a browning bar
