I found this watch a little while back and was waiting to get it back to post pics. Was working my local beach on a blowout tide. It's 14k white gold with 50 diamonds in it. Made by Hamilton and by the serial number in the movement is from the late 1940's. Had a jeweler get a new crystal cover, replace the destroyed movement with one from the time period, and put the black rope band on it (the original diamond band was gone). All that in exchange for a 14k man's wedding band I had found a while back. Now my wife has a nice antique diamond watch and isn't so upset when I spend a few hours on the weekend hunting!!

Before and after pics:

The watch with the diamonds (and old movement removed) was just over 10g. So probably in the $300 melt range plus stone value (I'm guessing). I have seen some restored watches of the same type for sale up to $2000. I'm not a professional though and my wife claimed it right away anyway.

very nice. My girl would marry me if i gave her that.
Maybe sea isle can be the first beach i MD.
