hunted one of my favorite beaches today, the first three hours produced 57 cents and a ton of trash. I was getting tired and my shoulder was starting to hurt so I was working my way to the truck when I got a solid 23 on the nox. the target was shallow, maybe 6 inches deep. When I first saw the ring I thought it was bling, it had kind of a rusty looking coating on it. I rubbed it with my thumbnail and the crust started to come off. I looked inside and could see what I thought was a hallmark.
when I got home I put it in the tumbler with stainless steel shot and vinegar and let it run for an hour. When it came out it still had some discoloration but I could read 925 and JWb next to it . also on the inside it says India.
the diamonds are tiny but they test real and doing a humidity test the sapphires also test as real.
a friend of mine owns a pawn shop so I’m going have him take a look at it also.

Nice ring find, on your diamond tester make sure you have one that that can tell the difference between diamonds and moissanite (artificial man made diamond) .

Many of the cheaper diamond testers can't tell the difference. It wouldn't matter so much on tiny diamonds or diamond chips but if you find a nice gold ring with large sparkle you will want to know they are genuine diamond.

Thanks for the tip on the diamond tester. If I ever found anything with a decent size stone I would have it checked by a professional.

No problem, just letting you know. A lot of people are not aware some diamond testers on the cheaper end can not tell difference between real and synthetic.
